Identifying Your Google Nexus 7

Having trouble trying to distinguish which Google Nexus 7 version you have? There are a few physical differences between the Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 7 2013, find out more below:
2013 (2nd Generation) 2012 (1st Generation)
1. NEXUS Logo
You can notify the difference from the logo orientation on the back of the device. Google Nexus 7 2012 (2nd Gen) logo is aligned vertically and Google Nexus 7 2013 (1st Gen) logo is horizontal.
On the back of the device you will notice that Google Nexus 7 2012 (2nd Gen) has a engraved pattern whereas Google Nexus 7 2013 (1st Gen) has a plain back case.
3. Back Camera
Google Nexus 7 2013 (1st Gen) is built in with a back camera, oppose to the Google Nexus 7 2012 (2nd Gen).
