A user by the name of 9to5Google may have just found out some important information about Google's new mobile device...
The information was found when the Google app updated to version 8.14 containing new code. The new code confirms that both the Pixel 3 and 3 XL will boast a new addition - wireless charging.
How do we know this? Well, the fortunate thing about code is that it can give away some pretty key elements that suggest it's the case. The app includes something called 'pixel stand' - It acts like a bridge which you can use the google assistant by pairing with your device.
For this to work, the user needs to give permission for this data to be accessed. That code can be seen below:
But where does the wireless charging come into this? I can't see it.
This can be found from a previous version of the Google App which released in June of this year. The code in that particular version said that stated that the tech giant, Google was/is working on a new wireless charging platform with a cool codename of ‘dreamliner’. Then if you take into account that the Pixel and Pixel 2 didn't have any wireless charging, that would suggest that the Pixel 3 will finally have wireless charging capability.
