How To Add Additional Touch ID Fingerprints To Your iPhone
Posted: Jun 21 2016
If you are fed up with remembering passwords then fingerprint recognition is an alternative method to unlocking your iPhone. All you have to do is press down the registered finger to unlock the phone. To set up finger recognition on your iPhone, please follow the steps below:
1. Open the Settings on your iPhone, select “Touch ID & Passcode,” and enter your pass code if needed.
2. To add another fingerprint, simply press “Add a Fingerprint”.
3. At this stage you need to train your iPhone to recognise your new fingerprint. The iPhone will now scan this finger, all you need to do is keep pressing the home button until the fingerprint scan is complete.
4. Once the fingerprint process is finished, you will be taken back to the Touch ID & Pass code screen where the new fingerprint profile can be found at the end of the fingerprint list. Your fingerprint will be named automatically by the system, however, you can simply change the name by tapping on the item you wish to change.
The current limit for fingerprints at one time on the iPhone is 5.
