When you turn on Airplane Mode, it disables all the wireless features on your Apple device, such as cellular, Wi - Fi and Bluetooth. If your Apple device has iOS 8.2 or earlier, Airplane Mode will also turn off the GPS function.
Option 1 - Go to Settings > Select Airplane Mode and move the slider so it goes green.
Option 2 - Using the control panel at the bottom of your home screen and hit the airplane icon.
- When Airplane Mode is on, you will see an airplane icon appear in your status bar.
It is possible to use Wi - Fi and Bluetooth whilst in Airplane Mode, but only if the airline allows you! You will need to switch them on individually by following the usual steps in the settings menu.
